Using Wiseley
What is Wiseley?
Wiseley is a nonfiction learning app and public summary library. It helps readers understand a book’s central argument, retain selected ideas, and choose where deeper reading is worthwhile.
Can I read and listen to summaries?
Wiseley supports reading and listening to summaries in the app.
How long is a Wiseley summary?
Wiseley summaries are structured for focused reading or listening sessions.
How do I choose a first book?
Browse the topic collections, search the book directory by title or author, or use the learning-plan questions to identify the subjects and outcomes that matter to you.
Summaries and editorial work
How are Wiseley summaries made?
Wiseley uses AI-assisted generation, deterministic validation, and editorial quality checks. Published web records preserve source fingerprints and revision provenance instead of presenting generated text as unaudited human writing.
Does a Wiseley summary replace the full book?
No. A summary is an orientation to the author’s argument and selected ideas. The complete book remains the primary source for its examples, evidence, qualifications, voice, and full context.
Why does each book page show only short chapter orientations?
The public page is designed to explain the book’s sequence and help a reader assess fit without publishing the complete chapter transcripts. The app is the intended reading and listening experience for the full Wiseley summary.
How does Wiseley handle health or financial books?
Wiseley attributes claims to the author and adds a clear boundary on higher-stakes pages. A summary explains a book; it is not medical, legal, or financial advice and may not reflect current professional consensus.
Can I request a correction?
Yes. Email hello@wiseley.app with the affected URL and an explanation of the issue. Reports are reviewed against the source and revision record before a published page is changed.
Catalog and access
How many summaries are available on the Wiseley website?
This committed web catalog contains 475 validated English book summaries. The number can differ from the mobile catalog as releases are approved and synchronized.
Why can the website and app catalogs differ?
The public site publishes only records that pass its snapshot validation and provenance checks. Mobile access also depends on the current backend release and the access attached to an account.
Where can I manage a Wiseley membership?
Signed-in members can open the account billing page. Store-managed purchases may also need to be managed in the Apple App Store or Google Play account that completed the purchase.
Will I see a price before paying?
Yes. Available plans, billing periods, and the price charged are shown in the purchase flow before confirmation. Wiseley does not publish a universal price in this FAQ because offers and store currencies can vary.
Trust, privacy, and the Wiseley brand
Is Wiseley transparent about using AI?
Yes. Wiseley identifies its summaries as AI-assisted, preserves source and revision provenance on published web records, and accepts correction reports by email.
Is Wiseley affiliated with every author in its library?
No affiliation or endorsement is implied by a book’s inclusion. Book and author names identify the work being summarized, and the page keeps the author’s claims attributed to that source.
Does Wiseley use analytics before I consent?
Optional analytics storage is denied by default. The consent control explains the choice and lets visitors accept, reject, or revisit analytics preferences; necessary storage remains limited to operating the site.
Where can I read the privacy, cookie, and editorial policies?
The footer links to the privacy notice, cookie notice, terms, editorial team, and editorial methodology so those publishing and product policies remain available from every public page.
